I decided not to include color because this was already a busy solid. Face treatments include floral and basket elements. I used bristol board, exacto knife and scissors.

animation of painted archimedian solid

The painted archimedian solid is about the side of the palm and has a cube inside so if one shakes it, it makes noise. The solid can be vied from all sides. The design is in black and white and it works with the shape of the solid in a way that makes hexagons appear round. So, optical illusion element.

Kaleidocycle triangles animations

These two animations are of kaleidocycles, which are solids that can be endlessly turned inside out. Bristol board and markers were main materials in making these. Design works with triangular shapes and complements each face treatment.
